 There are various games played in a country. Some of them are foreign and are country games. I play many games. But of all the games football is my favorite game. Football is a most popular game all over the world. I have the strongest liking for football. There are various reasons behind it. First of all, it is not costly as cricket. The play comes to an end only within an hour. It exercises the limb, strengthens the body and refreshes the mind. It can be enjoyed without loss to one’s study or work. Football is played in a big field. The field is 110 to 120 yards long and 70 to 80 yards wide. There are two goal posts at each end of the field. A goal keeper protect the goal area. It is played between the two teams. Each team consists of eleven players. There is a referee.  He conducts the game. The referee is helped by two linesmen. At the beginning of the play the ball is placed at the centre of the field. The referee whistles and the game starts. The game lasts for about 90 minutes with an interval of 10 minutes. The sides are changed after the interval. The team that scores more goals than the other wins the game. The game is good for health. It makes the players prompt, strong and hardy. It teaches them discipline and team spirit. The game is played by some rules. During the game no player can touch the ball with hands except the goalkeeper. If any player makes a  foul the opposite side gets a kick. The decision of the referee is final in all matters in the field. The game is exciting and a source of great pleasure. So, I like the game most.
